As it is now September (where has the time gone) I have been on the road since April, I am looking at a map, deciding my route and trying to work out how to arrive back in Temecula about a week before I fly home for Christmas.
I still have five states to journey through, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona and Nevada, also I am still in the southern part of the Rocky Mountains, and keep getting weather warnings of snow down to 5000 feet, I know when winter sets in we are talking lots of snow, at the moment I am at 6000 feet. I still have a lot to see, I must press on, set the cruise control to a higher speed, maybe a daring 55 miles per hour, I now wish I had been able to start my journey earlier in the year, can’t be helped. From my brief, but enjoyable visit to Idaho, I am now setting my sights on the high Country of Montana, the "Big Sky State"
Big sky, I think because it is so flat, you see a lot of sky, you can see forever, my immediate goal is to reach Yellowstone National Park, an absolute must for me before the snow closes the various passes within the park, once it comes it is virtually closed.
